This article seeks to examine the legitimacy of the 'condition restricting sexual pleasure' from the perspective of Imamiyyah (i.e. Twelver Shi'a) and Shāfiʿī (Shafi'ite) jurists, as well as other Sunni schools of thought, using a descriptive-analytical method and relying on library research and jurisprudential analysis. The results of the research indicate that the condition restricting sexual pleasure is legitimate and enforceable, provided it is agreed upon by both spouses and does not contradict the essential nature of the marriage contract. This condition can help strengthen the foundation of the family and allows the spouses to prevent marital conflicts and tensions by setting specific terms. The innovation of this research lies in its comparative and comprehensive approach to the subject of the condition restricting sexual pleasure. This study not only analyzes the jurisprudential and legal dimensions of this condition but also examines its social and cultural impacts on marital relations. Through this approach, the article attempts to provide practical solutions for couples and contribute to a better understanding of the challenges in marital life. Thus, this research can serve as a scientific and practical resource for improving the quality of marital life and strengthening the family foundation in modern conditions.
